Sites to Visit

Ottawa – Canada’s Capital:

Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is a unique city that straddles the border between Ontario and Quebec. It is the only capital in the world where English and French cultures coexist harmoniously. Renowned for its rich cultural atmosphere, Ottawa boasts an impressive landscape of parks, canals, and diverse historic architecture, making it one of the most liveable cities globally.

Tulip Festival (May 09-May19 2025)
Every May, Ottawa hosts the world’s largest Tulip Festival, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists. Millions of tulips adorn the Parliament Building and the entire capital area, creating a stunning, colorful display. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the captivating beauty of the tulip-filled world during this vibrant festival.

Parliament Building:
Located on Parliament Hill, the Parliament Building is the seat of Canada’s federal government and a symbol of Ottawa, and indeed the country as a whole. The Gothic-style complex comprises three buildings: the Central Block, the East Block, and the West Block. The Parliament Building is a national icon, with the Canadian maple leaf flag proudly flying atop its bell tower.

Peace Tower:
Standing at 90 meters tall, the Peace Tower is the highest point on Parliament Hill and is celebrated as one of the world’s most intricate examples of Gothic architecture. Featuring a 4.88-meter four-sided clock and a carillon of 53 bells, the Peace Tower symbolizes Canada’s commitment to peace.

Centennial Flame:
Located in the center square in front of the Parliament Building, the Centennial Flame was lit in 1967 to mark the 100th anniversary of Canada’s confederation. The flame continues to burn today, surrounded by the engraved badges of Canada’s 10 provinces and three territories, along with the dates of their entry into the federation.

The Canadian Museum of History:
This is one of the most popular and frequently visited museums in Canada. It is well-known for its permanent exhibitions that span the breadth of Canadian human history. The museum’s striking architecture, situated along the riverbank, adds to its allure and significance.

Ottawa River Cruise:
During the summer, visitors can embark on a scenic river cruise along the Ottawa River. This experience offers stunning views of the city’s landscape from a unique vantage point.
