Boston & Rhode Island 3 Days Tour

Start the journey early in the morning to pass through American customs. Travel through the state of Vermont and stop in Manchester, the largest city in the state of New Hampshire, for lunch. Arrive in Boston in the afternoon, the capital and most populous city of Massachusetts, and one of the oldest municipalities in the United States.

Begin by visiting Copley Square, known for being the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Nearby, you'll find Trinity Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. This church is the birthplace and archetype of the Richardsonian Romanesque style, characterized by its clay roof, polychromy, rough stone, heavy arches, and a massive tower.

Next, take a boat tour from Long Wharf. During the tour, you'll see The Beaver, one of the Boston Tea Party ships; the USS Constitution, also known as Old Ironsides, the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat; and the USS Cassin Young, which participated in seven Pacific battles during World War II and survived two kamikaze hits. You'll also view Logan International Airport, where, on September 11, 2001, two planes departed for Los Angeles but were tragically hijacked and flown into the World Trade Towers in New York.

Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore the famous Quincy Market, a bustling area full of tourists and boutiques, where you can shop for souvenirs and indulge in a variety of delicious snacks.

After breakfast, head to Rhode Island. Upon arrival, visit one of the most opulent homes in America, The Breakers, built for the Vanderbilt Family. This impressive 70-room mansion, constructed in 1893, would cost the equivalent of $335 million today. With a self-guided audio tour, you'll learn about the Vanderbilt family, the wealthiest family in the U.S. during America's "Gilded Age" at the end of the 19th century.

In the afternoon, we return to Boston to visit the Skywalk Observatory, where you'll get a bird's-eye view of Boston's landmarks, including the Hancock Tower, Fenway Park, the Boston Common, the Public Garden, the Esplanade and Hatch Shell, the Charles River, MIT, Harvard University, and countless other notable sites.

Next, visit Beacon Hill, one of Boston's most historic and charming neighborhoods. Known for its Federal-style rowhouses, narrow gaslit streets, and brick sidewalks, it is considered one of the city's most desirable and expensive areas.

End the day with free time and dinner in Chinatown, one of the largest Chinatowns outside of New York City. Afterward, return to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Cambridge, a city named in honor of the University of Cambridge in England. Cambridge is home to renowned institutions like Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Lesley University, and Hult Business School.

Begin your visit by entering the Harvard University campus with your tour guide (included, valued at USD 20). Start by taking photos in front of Austin Hall, the first building specifically built for an American law school, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Next, visit the Harvard Library, the oldest library system in the United States and the largest private and academic library system in the world.

Afterward, stop at the Memorial Church, built in 1932 to honor the men and women of Harvard who died in World War I. Then, head to the Cabot Science Center, where you’ll find portions of Mark I, the world’s first electromechanical computer.

Following the visit to Harvard, explore the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), founded in 1861 in response to the increasing industrialization of the United States. MIT is world-renowned for its innovation and academic excellence, making it one of the most prestigious institutions in the world.

Return to Montreal in the evening.
