About this tour
Departure: 07:00 AM Montréal: 68 Boulevard René-Lévesque O, Montréal, QC H2Z 1A2 | Métro Place D'armes
During World War II, the Dutch royal family sought refuge in Canada to escape the devastation of war. After the war, as a gesture of gratitude, the Netherlands began sending tulip bulbs to Canada every year starting in 1945. This tradition continues to this day and has become a lasting symbol of friendship between the two countries. In 1953, Ottawa officially established the Tulip Festival centered around these flowers. More than a spring display, it represents an enduring story of international friendship and shared historical memory. Join us to admire the tulips while discovering the history, culture, and scenic beauty of Canada’s capital.
